My name is Hayden, I am the owner and sole operator of The Shearsmith. In 2018 I was trained in the art of fine sharpening and received my masters certification after successfully completing a series of tests to prove my knowledge and ability to sharpen high end Japanese blades. That’s when The Shearsmith was created and I began servicing the Treasure Valley. I specialize in Japanese sharpening techniques and convex edges, offering a range of services from sharpening to repair & restoration.
